[ YOUR PLAN ]
A day that lands short isn't a broken streak β it's noted, logged, and the plan adjusts. That's how research works.
This zeroes the count, the day history, and the session log. Your affirmation and target stay. There is no undo for the undo.
[ AUTO-COUNT β HANDS-FREE MODE ]
The affirmation plays, a pause, it plays again β and every finished play adds a rep itself. Eyes closed, no tapping.
βCOUNTING EVERY COMPLETED PLAY
β FIELD NOTE: KEEP THE APP OPEN AND THE SCREEN ON DURING AUTO SESSIONS. PHONE BROWSERS PAUSE AUDIO WHEN THE SCREEN LOCKS β YOUR COUNTED REPS ARE SAVED, BUT THE LOOP WON'T RUN IN THE DARK.

[ THE BRIDGE β MAKE IT TRUER ]
If the statement feels like a lie, don't force it β bridge it. Type the stretch version, pick a pattern, and repeat the one your brain argues with less. Less pushback, same direction.
[ YOUR VOICE β RECORD & LOOP ]
Record the affirmation in your own voice, once. Auto-count can loop it back to you β every finished play is a rep. Your recording is stored only on this device, in this browser. It is never uploaded anywhere.
β RECORDING SAVED ON THIS DEVICE
β RECORDINGβ¦ 0:00
Say the affirmation once, clearly, like you mean it. Leave a beat of silence at the end.
[ SOFT SCIENCE β LAB NOTES ]
Every claim in this lab carries a tier, because "trust me" is not a methodology:
- SUPPORTED β research consensus backs this, within its limits.
- SUGGESTS β evidence points this way; modest, mixed, or early.
- PERSONAL EXPERIENCE β one researcher's field notes. Data point of one: you.
No transformation promises live here. We're investigating what happens β that's the whole pitch.
[ HOW TO RUN YOUR EXPERIMENT ]
1 β Pick an affirmation (or bridge it)
In the Affirm tab, choose from the library or write your own in the present tense. If a statement feels like a lie when you say it, don't force it β use the Bridge: type the stretchy version, pick a pattern like "I'm learning to believeβ¦", and repeat the version your brain argues with less. Less pushback, same direction.
2 β Set YOUR target + days
Also in the Affirm tab, under Design Your Experiment. Pick a target (108, 300, 1,000, 3,333, or any custom number) and a duration (1, 3, 7 days, or custom). The app splits your target evenly across your days β the last day takes the remainder β so 300 reps over 3 days is simply 100 a day. Any size counts: a finished 108 is a complete experiment, not a warm-up for someone else's number.
3 β Count your way
- Tap: tap the big counter once per rep. Mis-tap? Undo takes one back. Your count saves as you go, in this browser β closing the app can't eat it.
- Auto-count, device voice: the app reads your affirmation aloud, pauses, and repeats β adding a rep after every finished play. Use the pause slider (0β10s) to set your breathing room, plus playback speed and volume.
- Auto-count, your voice: record your affirmation once in the Affirm tab, then loop it. Slide the volume low to run it quietly under your session.
β KEEP THE APP OPEN AND THE SCREEN ON DURING AUTO SESSIONS. PHONE BROWSERS PAUSE AUDIO WHEN THE SCREEN LOCKS β ON IPHONE ESPECIALLY, A LOCKED SCREEN STOPS THE LOOP. YOUR COUNTED REPS ARE ALWAYS SAVED; THE LOOP JUST WON'T RUN IN THE DARK.
4 β Log what you notice
The Log tab keeps your per-day totals and session count, and exports a clean Experiment Log you can copy or download for your journal. The Notes tab holds the Soft Science β every claim tiered supported / suggests / personal experience, because "trust me" is not a methodology.
Good questions
What if I miss a day?
Then you have a data point about your life, not a broken streak. Noted, logged, adjust the plan β extend the days, shrink the target, or pick up where you left off. Adjusting is part of the experiment; researchers change protocols all the time.
Where does my data live?
Your count, settings, and recording live only in this browser, on this device. There's no account and nothing is shared β nobody else opening this link sees your experiment, and you can't see theirs. Clearing your browser data clears the lab.
What's Night Lab?
The toggle up top switches the lab lights: bright and sunny by day, the original dark HUD by night. Same lab, same data β your choice is saved in your browser.
Is there a "right" number of reps?
No β and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you their experiment. The founder's first run was 33,333 (see the case study in Lab Notes); yours gets to be whatever you'll actually do. That's the whole design.
[ SHARE FEEDBACK π§ͺ ]
This is the beta β your feedback shapes what this becomes. What worked, what was confusing, what broke: it all lands directly in the lab inbox. Your experiment data stays on your device; this form only sends what you type here.
